The Odd Life of Timothy Greene

So my husband and I went to see it and needless to say we both balled hysterically the whole time. BUT it was such a wonderful movie! We were just talking about how we feel like we went to therapy haha! Has anyone else seen it?

  1. Haven't seen it yet. That will be an "at home" movie for me!

  2. That's a good idea! We had no idea it was going to be as emotional as it was...we would have been more comfortable watching it at home!

  3. I have had several people tell me that I should see it. I think I'm going to wait at watch it at home like Shannon

  4. I am going to be an odd voice of contention, but after more than 6 years of trying and 6 miscarriages, stories like this upset me. Life doesn't work that way. You can hope and wish and pray and it doesn't always happen. I refuse to see the movie.

  5. It's actually a great lesson! They don't get everything and nothing works out perfectly in the movie. It ends really sadly but leaves a great message about finding strength and light to move forward in life. So inspirational! I'm really sorry to hear about your struggle and losses! I will keep you in my prayers!!

  6. The couple are never able to have their own biological children and the boy in the movie is only in their life for a short while, to teach them some very valuable and life long lessons.

  7. I fully understand that this may be an inspirational film for some people, even a healing film, but it is not for me. Rather, the idea behind the film, to me, is like pouring salt into wounds that have never healed. Right now, not only am I struggling with my faith, but I may have to stop ever trying for a child. And honestly, it is perfectly alright to not want to see the film or not like it. No one's journey is the same and sometimes things that inspire others bring pain to someone.

    1. I'm on a similar step. I want to see the movie for hope but I know that it is unrealistic. And this infertility journey has made me very confused with faith. Have been for a while now. I hope you and I both find happiness!

  8. I fully understand! I agree that not everyone should want to see the film. It was hard for us to see as well but had a positive effect on us, which definately isn't the situation for everyone. You're totally right in saying that every journey is different and unique. I hope I didn't mislead anyone into thinking that I believe all I our journeys are equal. All we can do is lean on each other for strength andy husband and I will continue to keep you and your significant other on our prayers! May God's comfort and peace be with you during this difficult time you're going through!

  10. I have very mixed emotions about it, I dont know if it will make me more bitter than I already seem to be (I struggle with this alot), or if it could actually really be one thing that may have a positive effect on me. Idk, I have to think more about it I guess.
